Christos Galiropoulos

I started to work with Cheynne Tattoo Equipment 4 years ago. I figuered out, that my art derives from the combination of many different techniques, therefore I need a machine, which is flexible enough to help me accomplish any technique, accurently and efficiently. From fine detailed lines to thick bold outlines and soft shading.

Style: Realistic Black & Grey

My name is Christos Galiropoulos and I am from Greece. I have my own studio called Blackline Tattoo, which is located in Lamia, a small town close to Athens, where I also live with my family. I always have had a strong passion for drawing, starting from a very young age. Over the years, my growing love for tattoos and the interest in tattooing led me to use my passion also in a professional way. In 2010, I started tattooing and until now I cannot imagine doing anything else (again).  My own favorite style is realistic black and grey, especially portraits. I personally believe, that if you work with black and grey the right way, the details of the tattoos can last longer.

Therefore, I admire and highly respect Bob Tyrrell! In my opinion, he was one of the first tattoo artists who paved the way for realistic portraits.

Why I use Cheyenne

I started to work with Cheyenne Tattoo Equipment 4 years ago. I figured out, that my art derives from the combination of many different techniques, therefore I need a machine, which is diverse/ flexible enough to help me accomplish any technique, accurately and efficiently. From fine detailed lines to thick bold outlines and soft shading. Cheyenne does it all, plus the machines are robust and reliable, which helps me to focus 100% on my work and my clients.

The machines I prefer to use are the HAWK Spirit and the HAWK Thunder. For my realistic designs I figured, that these machines allow me to work efficiently by putting the ink in and not damaging and scratching the skin. I mostly use the HAWK Spirit for smooth shadings and the HAWK Thunder for massive blacks and hard texture.
