Calle Corson

I first started using Cheyenne in 2015. For me it was so nice to finally have a machine that works consistently, no need for finetuning and after years of trying to master the mechanics and finetuning of different coil machines, this was revolutionary. Today I go to work pick up my machine and start working, I have no bad machine days anymore. The lightness and balance of the HAWK PEN is great and it sometimes feels like I'm drawing on the skin, I forget that I am holding a machine. I do everything with my HAWK PEN, Lining, shading, solid color and fine details.

My whole life I have been drawing and creating. My mother, who is also an artist, has always helped me and encouraged me to be creative even when I was doing ”illegal” graffiti during the early 90´s. Her work ethic and stamina for never giving up has been a true inspiration to me.

I am almost never satisfied with my work and always strive to do better and develop as an artist. We travelled a lot when I was young and as a grown up my travels have continued. I find it inspirational and also to be able to travel for work and meet other creative artists from all over the world and exchange knowledge is great.

When I started tattooing back in the mid 90´s, we had to hitch hike down to Holland to get inspiration and equipment, we where pretty much left to ourselves to learn up here in Sweden. It was through graffiti that I got in contact with tattooing and as for most tattooers during those times, my career start was in tribals. Soon I started working in Japanese style and it is really a style I love and I am fortunate to be concentrating on since over a decade now.

My work is often large, and I think one of my strengths is my ability to make the tattoo flow with customers' body, both background and main motifs. I am always striving to create something new and push myself to new levels in my work. For a new project it can sometimes be days at the drawing table. Over the years, I have been inspired by many talented artists and I see many new young people out there that blow my mind.

Why I use Cheyenne

I first started using Cheyenne in 2015. For me it was so nice to finally have a machine that works consistently, no need for finetuning and after years of trying to master the mechanics and finetuning of different coil machines, this was revolutionary. Today I go to work pick up my machine and start working, I have no bad machine days anymore. The lightness and balance of the HAWK PEN is great and it sometimes feels like im drawing on the skin, I forget that I am holding a machine. I do everything with my HAWK PEN, Lining, shading, solid color and fine details. Also, for travel it's so convenient, I used to need to pack a bunch of different machines, now it's just the HAWK PEN.

It's a revolutionary invention. The quality check and the pride they take in the process of the making of both the machines and safety cartridges system is pioneering.
