I started tattooing many years ago with my coil machine and used to make my own needles. Then, suddenly, I discovered Cheyenne. The needles were so precise, and the machines were so quiet compared to others.

I was born and raised in Rome, Italy, where I work since I started as a tattoo artist and opened my own tattoo studio, Tribal Tattoo Studio back in 1992. For many years, I have worked on many different styles, from tribal to 3D. Back in 2012, I begun to develop my Ornamental Style, also known as Lace Tattoo, which has given me great satisfaction; thanks to the style, I won over 75 prizes in international conventions like Paris, London, Berlin, Rome, Milan and many others. This style also allows me to enter in places where I never thought I would be, including the important Contemporary Art Museums as well as Haute Couture events, where my tattoo had the chance to enter catwalks like suits and dresses designed by great fashion designers, just directly on the skin. After that, a lot of my clients are asking for “Haute Couture Tattoos” from me.

I also remember the Tattoo Forever exhibition with great pleasure, it was in Rome Contemporary Art Museum, sponsored by Cheyenne, where I was both an artist and a curator. It was where tattoos have officially entered and legitimized as a new contemporary art form. Thanks to the cultural heritage, the Municipality of Rome and some of the big art critics in Italy, lots of great names of the tattoo industry took part in this event, which was a real honor to me.

I hope that my style grows continuously in the future. I consider myself a lucky person, who can do a job I love every day; it’s a passion rather than a job, which gives me the chance to know people in depth from all over the world. The last goal I set is to bring pictures of my tattoos as permanent exhibition of important museums.

Why I use Cheyenne

I started tattooing many years ago with my coil machine and used to make my own needles. Then, suddenly, I discovered Cheyenne. The needles were so precise, and the machines were so quiet compared to others. I started using Cheyenne for my lines, which are very long and thin, there is no margin for mistakes. I found it very comfortable when I discovered the machines and the all-time perfect needles, never a broken one. That’s why I think Cheyenne is a “must have” for tattoo artists working on similar styles.

The support I receive from the company for my needs is also important, no matter in Italy or abroad, in conventions all over the world. Cheyenne machines fit perfectly for shading, colors and dot work designs. Lately, I have tried the new SOL Nova machine for my shading and the shape together with its puncturing power help a lot!
